Central Alberta re-completion of a Glauconite oil zone after a water shut-off cement squeeze
A Glauconite oil formation was remedially cement squeezed in an effort to shut off excessive water production. After re-perforating the upper portion of the productive interval, no inflow was tested.
The operator then used MaxPERF technology to drill five tunnels into the same upper portion of the interval... a subsequent swab test indicated oil inflow and the well was put back on production. After stabilizing for a month the well was producing at a rate of 12.0m3/D clean oil.
