Close water contact and fines migration plugging near-wellbore area call for a MaxPERF Completion
A General Petroleum sandstone play continually had near wellbore plugging issues and sand related pump problems; this operator decided to complete this GP sandstone well with eight MaxPERF tunnels using light oil as the operating fluid.
The initial inflow test was very good and the well was put on production... after 3 years the well was producing 51m3/D total fluid – 32m3/D oil.
In the first 3 years of productive life there was only one workover performed on the well for pump related issues
